Scope To revise ECC Report 066 taking into account the following elements established by airworthiness bodies (based on FM44(16)029A8 and FM44(16)037A2):
1) new immunity level of aircraft;
2) minimum separation distances between transmitters and aircraft
3) methodology that is applied for the calculation of HIRF limits in order to maintain aeronautical safety

Comments ECC communicated with EASA on aeronautical regulation and methodology applied for aeronautical safety in the event of High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) exposure of aircraft.


WGFM concluded that ECC Report 066 does not take into consideration the current aeronautical regulations and requested WGSE/SE40 to review ECC Report 066 using the elements provided by EASA.

ECC Report 272 is published.
