Revision of ECC Decision (04)08 on the harmonised use of the 5 GHz frequency bands for the implementation of Wireless Access Systems including Radio Local Area Networks (WAS/RLANs)

FM57 is tasked to revise ECC Decision (04)08 so that the different types of WAS/RLAN installations are distinguished:
-general case (excluding those below)
-onboard aircraft
-onboard road vehicles
-onboard trains
The regulatory conditions shall exclude the use of WAS/RLAN for UAS radiolinks above 5250 MHz.
WGFM #96 further tasked FM57 to develop the CEPT Report in response to the Mandate to CEPT ;-

The aim is to investigate innovative
sharing solutions such as geolocation/database that may provide a practical and
implementable solution for geographical protection either on a national or
local basis throughout CEPT.
