Subject Regulatory impact on Number Portability following migration to an all-IP environment

Scope This ECC Report will analyse the regulatory impact of moving to new solutions for NP in an all-IP environment. The report will describe the number portability scenarios in an all-IP environment, including different routing solutions and NP database interaction with the IP routing database. Following this analysis the regulatory impact will be assessed regarding the migration process, legacy issues and whether or not new regulations are required.

Progress Report Work item approved at the 16th meeting of WG NaN (Reykjavik 29-31 May 2018).

NaN2 had two web meetings (08 December 2020 and 12 January 2021) to progress the work on the draft ECC Report NP in all-IP environment

During the 29th meeting the draft ECC Report was reviewed section-by-section. It was agreed that further web meetings would take place on 26 March 2021 and 23 April 2021 to progress the work.

Work on the draft report continued at web-meetings held on 26 March 2021 and 23 April 2021.

During the 30th NaN2 full meeting, which took place on 10-11 May 2021, it was agreed to submit the draft report to the WG NaN meeting 18-20 May 2021 for approval for public consultation.

Draft report was approved at the WG NaN meeting 18-20 May 2021 for public consultation.

Public Consultation for the draft ECC Report 328 started on Wednesday 9 June 2021 and ended on Tuesday 31 August 2021.

NaN2 reviewed at its 31st full meeting the responses received to the public consultation, amended the draft report were deemed appropriate and agreed to submit it to the next WG NaN meeting scheduled for 23-25 November for final adoption.
