Studies have already been performed by CEPT to derive protection distance for maritime ESIMs under WRC-19 AI1.5 and these studies were used as a basis for the decision made by WRC-19 to adopt a 70 km protection distance for maritime GSO ESIMs in order to protect terrestrial services.
SE 40 should take these studies and use them to amend ECC Report 217.
The progress and results of this WI should be liaised to WGFM.
The conversion is intended to be limited to maritime terminals only.
