Scope
|
Study of technical and commercial issues causing failures to the eCall callback function, as being implemented in Europe. These issues may comprise the use of specific eCall architectures and generation of CLIs. The perspective will be from both telecom and equipment (vehicle and IVS) domains and their possible interaction. The goal of the study is to raise awareness of these issues among the stakeholders from both the industry and government, in particular the European Commission.

Progress Report
|
- Since the last meeting in October 2020, a web meeting was held on 04 November 2021 to progress work.
- During the NaN3 web meeting (16-17 March 2021) the latest version of the draft report, which contained contribution from ECO, Portugal, The Netherlands and Malta, was introduced. The draft report was reviewed section by section. The next meeting to further progress work will take place 15 April 2021.
- Work on the draft report continued at a web-meetings held on 15 April 2021.
- NaN3 agreed by correspondence to submit the draft report to the WG NaN meeting 18-20 May 2021 for approval for public consultation.
- NaN3 discussed at its full meeting (12-13 October 2021) the comments on the draft report received during the WG NaN plenary in May 2021. NaN3 agreed to submit a revised version for approval for public consultation to the WG NaN plenary scheduled for 23-25 November 2021.
- Approved for public consultation at WG NaN #23 (23-25 November 2021).
- Public Consultation: Draft ECC Report 339 - 6 December 2021 until 14 February 2022
- NaN3 reviewed at its 28th full meeting (24-25 February 2022) the contributions received to the public consultation. The meeting agreed on changes to the draft report that were deemed appropriate. NaN3 will send the outcome version to WG NaN members for comments. Proposed changes to the draft report, if any, will be reviewed at the next full meeting of NaN3 scheduled for 20-21 April 2022 before sending the draft report for final adoption to the next plenary meeting of WG NaN (7-9 June 2022).
- WG NaN#24 adopted unanimously ECC Report 339 at its meeting on 7-9 June 2022.
