Based on the conclusion of ECC
Report 369, WG FM agreed to update the ECC Decision (15)05 to enable higher
power PMR446 equipment. The Report concludes that current usage of the band indicates that the 446.0-446.2 MHz
band has sufficient headroom to support 1 W e.r.p. PMR446 operations and that
there is no need for advanced spectrum management technics.
WG
FM #109 Porto February 2025 assigned this work item to FM62 on the creation of
that new project team. The work item identity was changed from FM_60 to
FM62_03.
