ETSI Workitem
ETSI Deliverable
Subject Harmonised technical conditions for WBB ECS/MFCN in the upper 6 GHz band (Task 3 of the EC Mandate)
Related WI PT1_57

FM61_05
PT1_67
Scope
Develop a harmonised frequency arrangement and the least restrictive harmonised technical conditions for full power WBB ECS/MFCN in the 6585-7125 MHz frequency band, taking into account the results of Tasks 1 and 2, and the preferred scenario(s) for the shared use of 6585-7125 MHz.
The harmonised technical conditions should, in particular, avoid interference, protect and, enable the future evolution and development of relevant incumbent users within the 6425-7125 MHz frequency band and in the adjacent bands, and facilitate cross-border frequency coordination.

Comments
  • An accompanying ECC Report may be developed if deemed required.
  • The work will be done in close cooperation with WG FM with respect to the non-prioritised WAS/RLAN in 6585-7125 MHz. Based on CEPT Report B and work item in ECC(26)026 Annex 22, a text related to the use of non-prioritised WAS/RLAN in 6585-7125 MHz on a voluntary basis will be included.
  • The requirement for implementation of cross-technology signalling is outside the scope of this work item.
  • It is noted that the RSPG will have a final Opinion on the future of the 6425-6585 MHz, following the outcome of the WRC-27 as stated in the RSPG Opinion on the Upper 6GHz.
  • ECC Reports 366 and 375 should be taken into account.
