ECC Recommendation , ECC Report , Rev. ECC Recommendation

To facilitate the deployment of fixed services links in the frequency blocks already allocated to fixed services in the frequency range 92 – 115 GHz.

SE19_38

ECC Recommendation and ECC Report containing guidelines on deployment of fixed services operating in the allocated in the bands 92 – 94 GHz, 94.1 – 95 GHz, 95 – 100 GHz,
102 – 109.5 GHz and 111.8 – 114.25 GHz.

Revision of ECC/REC (14)01 might also be necessary.

S: 01-10-2015
T: 14-09-2018

The bands 92 – 94 GHz, 94.1 – 95 GHz, 95 – 100 GHz, 102 – 109.5 GHz and 111.8 – 114.25 GHz are already allocated for fixed services in RR.

The band 92 – 95 GHz alone did not attract interest from the industry due to its limited channel bandwidth and the narrow duplexing spacing.

The study is expected to include future requirements in the fixed services (e.g. deployment scenarios, propagation models, radio channel arrangements, etc.).

Sharing and compatibility will also be considered as required. Doc.SE19(15)29 for background.

Draft ECC Report 282 to respond to SE19_37 and SE19_38 is on public consultation.

ECC Report To assess the feasibility of establishing a common set of technical conditions under which fixed service applications and other outdoor envisaged uses/applications may coexist within the 57 – 66 GHz range. SRD/MG_44
To study:

(1) Envisaged outdoor use cases/applications and their technical characteristics/requirements, including outdoor nomadic/mobile applications as appropriate.
(2) How these outdoor uses/applications through the use of appropriate mitigation measures can enable coexistence with fixed service applications, in uncoordinated manner and under a common authorisation regime
(3) Any practicable mitigation techniques to manage the interference environment, as appropriate, across the 57 – 66 GHz taking into account different considerations (e.g. practicality, propagation conditions etc.).

S: 29-09-2017
T: 25-01-2019
PT SE19 to work in collaboration with SRD/MG and confer with other relevant parties on the candidate mitigation techniques (where appropriate). In particular, PT SE19 needs suitable elements for point 1 in the scope from interested administrations and industry.

This study should take into account ITS in 63-64 GHz, as set out in the CEPT Roadmap for 5G, item D.4.

ECC Report , Rev. ECC Recommendation To consider the doubling of maximum channel width for some selected FS bands in the range from 11 to 38 GHz (11 GHz, 18 GHz, 28 GHz, 32 GHz, 38 GHz).
To address the interest for wider channels as a viable solution for the future to meet the increasing demand for capacity, as expressed by number of administrations. (See  ECC Report 173)

SE19 will consider also the need of an additional ECC Report.

T: 24-05-2019
Deliverables:

Revision of ECC Recommendations 12-06 E, 12-03 E,(01)02, 12-01 E

ECC Report (if needed)

To note that some of thebands are currently under study for possible 5G access under WRC-19 AI 1.13

* Target dates are seen as the intended date for the final approval of the related deliverable by the responsible entity. Internal deadlines for project teams and dates for the start of Public Consultations can be reflected in the remarks column. In general this implies that the draft deliverable should be completed by the project team one WG meeting earlier for publication.
