Digital terrain data in SEAMCAT
To include the possibility to load digital terrain data to be used in combination with some propagation models within SEAMCAT
S: 29-05-2019
T: 31-01-2025
Several propagation models within SEAMCAT require terrain data to fully comply with the specifications for the computation of the transmission loss. These include:
• Rec. ITU-R P.452
• Rec. ITU-R P.1546
• Rec. ITU-R P.1812 (this propagation model still needs to be implemented)
• Rec. ITU-R P.2001
• Longley Rice
STG already discussed the possibility of including digital terrain data in SEAMCAT on several occasions.
It should be noted that SEAMCAT is not intended for planning purposes. In that sense, the implementation of digital terrain data will include any necessary caveats to reflect that fact.

Target dates are seen as the intended date for the final approval of the related deliverable by the responsible entity. Internal deadlines for project teams and dates for the start of Public Consultations can be reflected in the remarks column. In general this implies that the draft deliverable should be completed by the project team one WG meeting earlier for publication.
